Citta (चित्त) : Derived from the root Citta (चित्त), meaning “mind” or “consciousness.” It can also imply awareness or spiritual devotion in certain contexts.
Mandir (मन्दिर): Means “temple” in Sanskrit, representing a place of worship and spiritual connection.
Vikas (विकास): Means “development” or “growth,” signifying progress or expansion.
Foundation: Although an English word, its essence aligns with the Sanskrit term Sthapana (स्थापना), meaning “establishment” or “foundation.”
At CMWF, we are involved in a variety of initiatives, from the construction of new temples to the restoration of ancient ones. We also organize cultural and spiritual programs that teach the values of Sanatan Dharma to both children and adults in rural communities.

We restore temples in rural areas, fostering spiritual connection and empowering communities through cultural and social initiatives.
Citta Mandir Vikas Foundation is dedicated to the construction and restoration of Hindu temples in rural and Adivasi regions. Our mission is not only to create spiritual sanctuaries but also to empower communities by preserving and promoting the values of Sanatan Dharma. Through our work, we aim to bring cultural pride, spiritual growth, and community welfare to some of the most underserved areas in The Bharat.
We envision a society where the cultural and spiritual heritage of Sanatan Dharma is preserved for future generations. By building temples in remote regions, we aim to foster community unity and provide a foundation for cultural and spiritual education. Our vision is to create a network of temples that serve as centers for learning, devotion, and social welfare, promoting values of peace, compassion, and prosperity.
How We Serve the Community
We have constructed the Vitthal Rakumai Temple in Chinchwadi Village, Tokavade Division of Murbad, Thane, providing a sacred space that brings spiritual enrichment and community support to the local Adivasi population.
The temple serves as a center for spiritual activities and community development, creating a lasting impact on the Adivasi population through cultural unity and religious teachings.
We have identified a prime location in Pendhari village, Murbad, Thane, Maharashtra, for the upcoming Shiv Mandir. This strategic site will serve as a new spiritual center for the local community.
We held meetings with the villagers to discuss the Shiv Mandir project, encouraging their contributions and active participation in building a place of worship that will strengthen community ties and cultural heritage.
Bringing Hope and Spiritual Strength to Rural Communities
Through the efforts of CMWF, we have constructed and revitalized numerous temples, bringing spiritual renewal to rural and Adivasi regions. Our programs have touched the lives of thousands, offering education in Sanatan Dharma and creating spaces where communities can come together. Each temple we build represents not just a place of worship, but a foundation for cultural pride and community unity.
